6.80/gallon at my home station. 10 minute hop, it's 4.97. Usually top off whenever on the way home.

Large flight school at home station, so students are picking up the difference. One can wonder why flight training costs vary so much from place to place.

$6.50 here.

$5.15 20 minutes away but the take-offs, landings, taxiing, etc. make the trip take close to an hour and that burns about 8 gallons.

If I fly up there when I have 12 gallons of fuel remaining, I'll have about 8 when I land. If I buy 28 gallons of fuel, it will cost me $144.20 and I'll have 36 gallons of fuel. When I get back home, I'll have 32 gallons of fuel remaining. That will be 20 gallons more than I had when started. So I will have paid $144.20 for 20 gallons of fuel, or $7.21 per gallon.

It works if I just want to fly somewhere for an hour or if I'm heading someplace for a trip and I don't mind flying north a bit for fuel but just flying up to get cheap gas doesn't work well.

Wow! US oil price is up to over $90 a barrel. That is an increase of almost 35% since last Friday’s close!

I expect to see it go up a lot more. Soon.

As expected, the air Airport price for 100LL is now the cheapest gas you can get in Santa Paula at $4.65. I believe the airport has locked in a long-term contract, so it may stay at this price even when they get a new load of fuel.

Apparently, my theory about the long-term contract was wrong. The Airport's fuel price went up by $.34 yesterday to $4.99, but it still may be cheaper than any car gas price in town.

$4.99 is practically free up here in the Seattle area! A couple of days ago I flew out to Goldendale S20 and filled up for $5 / gallon. That's more than an hour away from here, where prices are recently around $6 - $7.5.

On my IFR XC flight a few weeks ago we paid about $7.5 at KUAO, which is now $8.34!

The 100LL price at Santa Paula has gone up twice since I last posted. It is now $5.63.

We're paying that for regular autogas in WA State.

Here is the DFW metroplex prices have gone up about $1 since my post a year ago with the biggest jump within the past month or so.
