We recently sent a Form 337 to Ok City. My understanding is that they will not confirm receipt but there is a way to find the record online with the FAA signature after it is processed. I was told it takes 3-6 months for it to be posted. Where can I find this document online?

More details please.
I went to the site and registered. Then it sent an email to confirm the email. Then it sent a 6-digit code. Then it started the confirmation process all over again.
Leave it to the government . . .
I assume if I can ever login there will be some choices to view 337 documents, correct?

Yes, your entire aircraft major repair/alteration records are kept on file & are retrievable, but I don't know that it's going to be downloadable. I requested mine about a year ago & if Iby requesting a CD containing all the documents be mailed to me, at a nominal cost. I did receive it, after a couple of weeks or so.

I have never successfully registered with CARES. Logging into the FAA site was easy. CARES is more trouble that it's worth.

Glad that it isn't just me. But apparently this is the only way to get the information.

Does anyone have advice as to how to login to CARES? When I tried it was a never-ending circular process. I will try to phone the FAA tomorrow for help (if that is possible).

Yes, it's downloadable through CARES. I do it with some regularity, including this past week.

Yeah, a bunch of agencies have moved to the overall login.gov setup. It can be a bit of a pain the first few times through, much like any other place that has gone to some version of multifactor validation.

When I attempt to login it says it “made a call with a one-time code” to my landline. But usually it doesn’t come through. Once yesterday I found it on my voicemail but it never rang. Just tried again today and same thing – it didn’t ring and no voicemail.

Yesterday I selected “Remember this browser” to skip the 6-digit authentication but it is still forcing me to get another 6-digit code.

I just tried once more and no ring but found on voicemail. This is NOT my voicemail problem. It has always worked before.

Now it is asking for my SS and photo of my drivers license. This is ridiculous. I will not give out my SS online to anyone.

Is there a way to shortcut all this?

I use login.gov to verify when using CARES. I've had good luck with that, personally. I don't remember having to get a call, but since we turned off our land line years ago, it would have gone to my cell. I am unable to get the login page to load on my MacBook using either Safari or Chrome, or would be willing to type a step by step to get the airworthiness data you're seeking.

Successful login to login.gov with email and password.
Then it wants to verify my identity. That involves:
1 US passport or drivers license
2 SS number
3 match phone number
4 re-enter login.gov password
Then it's going to send a link to my landline or I can go to a participating Post Office (WHAT???)
I wonder if they want to know what I ate for breakfast?

Brock Boss was nice enough to send a link to the sign-in procedure. IT'S 17 PAGES LONG JUST TO SIGN-IN
My detailed information is public knowledge on the FAA Airmen Register
The airplane registration is public knowledge on the FAA N-Number website
My flights are public knowledge on FlightAware

But they want even more personal information as if I were applying for a job at the FBI.
All I want to do is verify that my Form 337 was processed since they will not even acknowledge its receipt.

In the past this was handled at the local FSDO. But not the local FSDO is only open 3 days per week and they don't handle this any more.

And they wonder why people hate the government . . .
Sorry, I needed to vent

I logged into login.gov not so long ago and it wasn't that difficult.

I logged into login.gov easily, also. But then there is more verification required. See my last post.
I plan to call them tomorrow.

I don’t know why you are having those difficulties. But why use landline for a call instead of mobile for text? That’s alway going to be quicker.

The good news about login.gov is that once you go through the process to obtain access, it provides single ID/PW login to a wide range of US government sites, ranging from FAA's Knowledge Services Network (KSN) to Social Security.

It's not so much difficulties. I just don't want to send my SS and drivers license info over the internet. Since I already signed into login.gov, why do I have to do more login and identity verification? Again, all I want to do is verify the FAA has approved my 337. It shouldn't be that hard.

Bottom line, this is not that important to me and I am too lazy to read and follow the 17-page procedure.

I will just call them and ask it is has been processed. Of course I might be on hold for 2-3 hours . . .
