Looking for documentation for a MASA? Mid America 180 hp install on a 172F. Also need to repair/replace to cowling fiberglass blisters and nose piece.
Did any other STC's use these same cowling modifications?

Interesting, I'd never heard of that O-360 STC.

Knots2u has the nose cap for a 172F: https://www.knots2u.net/skin-nose-cap-carbon-fiber-cessna-0552010-17/
Here are some of the cowling parts Texas Aeroplastics has available for early 172s: https://texasaeroplastics.com/collections/cessna-172-nose-bowl-cowling

I believe I've corresponded with this guy about cowling parts for my H model but I ended up having my cowling fiberglass repaired and repainted by a paint shop instead.
Not sure if this manufacturer sells to the US and I seriously doubt the parts are PMA'd so I'd want to discuss these parts with your mechanic first

IIRC The Mid -America STC was originally held by Doyn.

There were other STC holders such as Del-Air but i think they are inactive.

Delair is active enough to call me and let me know they do not have the parts available at this time.

Stoots recommended a fiberglass repair shop in Wasilla.

Apparently the resin needs to be high temp or fireproof? Had heard that before regarding Maule cowling repairs.

Still hoping someone has a set of the bumps and nose piece in the hangar.

Will investigate local resources further to come up with owner produced parts.
Prefer aluminum replacements.

Thanks, the MASA / Mid America STC used a pair of blisters on either side of the upper cowl, and a different nose piece. It appears DelAir may have used a similar approach. May have found a shop in Alaska that produces the blisters, and can repair the nose piece.
