Lots of discussion about oil coolers and the O-300/C145 engines, especially on the Cessna 170 sites. Seems originally designed without, but some folks in warmer climates were have concerns about oil temps bumping the redline (or getting to close for comfort). Those who did a HP increase needed a cooler.
I have. Just to be clear the AP made the recommendation but not having any issues. And most importantly wanted to know if it was worthy it. All in he quoted me a $1000.
