I was with Houston Center today for VFR flight following and they were working a lot of traffic in MOAs. I heard the controller say Boxer 21 push 14. The call sign part is obvious but what does “push 14” mean?

Back in the '60's, some Army tank radios had about a dozen push buttons rather than knobs to select a frequency. Rather like your old automobile tube radios, each button was programmed to a given frequency. It was common to hear radio operators talk about what "push" they were on. I am not saying it's the same, just relaying an occurrence I noted.
Does anyone else here remember setting car radio push buttons to your desired frequency? Depending on the radio, my recollection is there were various ways to mechanically set the push button to the desired frequency.

Or just to the same station
